Good stuff starting with Canadian movies:
Falling Angels: Set in the early sixties/late fifties a father tricks his children into believing that nuclear war has started and they go into their bomb shelter for 2 weeks, where they run out of water.
FUBAR A "documentary" on the headbanger culture in Canada.
Interesting movies that most of the critics hated:
The Salton Sea
Spun
Somewhat more obsure movie:
The tin drum (Die Blechtrommel), vased on the Nobel Prize winning book by Guenter Grass, and directed by Volker Schloendorff. Let me just say this movie has everything that one would expect from the post WWII dark german novel, incest, nazis, horse heads, pregnant women eating eels, midget sex, forplay with poprocks. Its a riot and used to be banned in Oklahoma!
